Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Haruhito is the Co-Founder and CEO of Salzworth.
Before founding Salzworth, he was the Executive Director of Marcuard Heritage Singapore Pte Ltd, a Swiss multi family office. He was instrumental in building up their European and Asian clientele base which comprised of a global network of asset managers, distribution partners and legal & tax specialists. Prior to that, he held various positions for a span of 10 years in Deutsche Bank. From it, he gained extensive experience in various Asian markets such as India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines and Taiwan.
Haruhito Imakoji is fluent in English, German and Japanese and holds a Masters in Social and Economic Science from the University of Vienna, Austria, and has been accredited as a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) by STEP and as a Financial Industry Certified Professional (FICP) by Singapore’s Institute of Banking and Finance. As the main driver of Salzworth, Haruhito’s vision is to steer the company to establish multi asset class portfolios and funds that seek to achieve steady returns for investors.
Co-Founder, Managing Director
John has more than 20 years of experience in providing multi-tiered services in the areas of fiduciary, tax, accounting, trust and asset management. His network includes ultra high networth individuals and families, corporations and conglomerates from ASEAN countries.
As a trained lawyer, John has been intimately involved in the set-up and implementation of his clients’ structures, often being able to value add beyond the original mandate.
John’s pride is seeing many working relationships with clients transforming into close friendships. Sharing same vision with his partners and teammates, he aims to bring safe investments with good alpha returns to investors.
Director, Real Estate
Gareth has more than 7 years of experience in the banking sector with UOB and ANZ, covering SME and large local corporates with a specialization in Real Estate & Construction financing.
He also has over 5 years of experience in Real Estate Investments, Developments and Asset Management across different asset classes including greenfield development projects, retail & shopping malls, office, residential and hospitality portfolios in Singapore and Australia.
Having held senior management roles in two SGX Mainboard listed companies and a Real Estate investment firm, he has a proven track record in Real Estate portfolio management. His experience and expertise will provide strong operational foundations and relevant connections to benefit clients and investors of Salzworth.
Director, Real Estate
Born in the UK, Benjamin holds a British passport. He joined the Bank of Scotland International in Jersey in 2005 and was part of the core team who developed financial products for offshore market. Thereafter he moved to Lloyd’s Corporate Banking to oversee the Offshore Trust and Intermediaries portfolio.
In 2010, Benjamin left the UK to provide buy-side advisory for capital predominately from Asia looking to acquire UK Real Estate. Over the last 8 years, he had advised on numerous key hospitality and commercial transactions in the UK, some of which are retained under management.
With his wealth of experience and access to foreign markets, Benjamin seeks to bring excellent investment opportunities from various countries.
Director, FX Algorithmic Trading
For the past decade, Ashli has accumulated diverse work experiences in the banking and finance industry. Prior to joining Salzworth, she served as the COO for a Forex brokerage, and co-managed a consultancy firm advising on fund management structuring and trade signal provisioning.
Ashli started her career in investment banking in Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Singapore, and subsequently moved over to ANZ Bank in Hong Kong to help grow their Debt Capital Market (DCM) franchise in Asia. She has covered more than 100 key clients in Southeast Asia, India and the Pacific markets, and has extensive deal execution and structuring experience dealing with financial institutions, corporates and sovereign clients. During her time in ANZ DCM, Ashli was instrumental in building up their league table rankings and in expanding their Asia footprint.
With her wealth of experience, Ashli is focused in expanding Salzworth’s corporate and institutional partnerships. Ashli heads the Salzworth FX team and manages the Salzworth Global Currency Fund which aims to deliver double digit absolute returns for investors.
Associate Director, FX Algorithmic Trading
Raphael started his career as a Graduate Analyst at Credit Suisse SG, before moving to StashAway to be the Product Manager of their robo-advisor wealth platform, building up a diverse range of skill-sets from managing infrastructure systems to auditing investment algorithms.
Born in Hong Kong, and having worked in Zurich, UK and Wroclaw offices during his time in Credit Suisse, Raphael has accumulated a wide network of professionals globally which he seeks to tap on to develop business opportunities for Salzworth.
Since 2013, Raphael has been researching and developing scalable FX Algorithmic Trading strategies that matched global FX liquidity pools. Raphael holds a Master in Computing from the National University of Singapore and graduated with a Magna Cum Laude in BSc Information Systems Management from the Singapore Management University.
Leveraging on his Technology and Finance background, Raphael seeks to present a robust set of algorithm trading offerings for Salzworth Global Currency Fund and to provide relevant connections to benefit clients and partners of Salzworth.
Dr Christopher Yang
Director, Equities Quant Trading
Dr Christopher Yang has a unique career. He graduated with a degree in biological science, thereafter pursued an MBA and did his PhD in cancer research. However, notwithstanding his science background, he had spent his last 10 years in financial industry. Whilst in Prudential as financial planner and in St James’s Place Wealth Management as wealth manager, he won several accolades and was featured a few times in the media.
Since young, Christopher had been interested in finance and investments. His interest became a passion and soon he delved into the realm of equities investment specifically different strategies of stock picking. This is where his training as molecular biologist gives him an edge. Having to deal with cells and DNA and the need to pre empt how cells respond over time, enables him to improve on a proprietary trading system which returned over 30%.
Christopher manages Salzworth Alpha Helix Fund and aims to bring investors double digit returns.
Director, Equities Quant Trading
Lauren is a veteran in the financial industry specifically in the area of equities. Having started her career in 2000 in OCBC Securities pioneer team which developed and integrated equities internet trading system (now the firm’s trading platform), she didn’t leave the equities world.
In 2008 Lauren started to focus on alternative structured products such as ELN, ELI and BLN etc. As she also helped clients to subscribe to corporate bonds and pre IPO shares, she gained in-depth knowledge when doing research on these products. One of her career highlights was winning several awards at OCBC Securities in 2016.
Whilst she believes in quant strategies, she also looks at fundamentals, book value and price earnings ratio. She co-manages Salzworth equities fund and her objective is to make double digit annual return for investors.
